Why so little is confirmed
Mexico has two bodies that accredit hospitals and one that registers premises, and only one of the three can be checked by a member of the public. Joint Commission International publishes a directory anyone can search. The Consejo de Salubridad General certifies hospitals but keeps its system behind a login. COFEPRIS publishes nothing searchable at all.
So a Mexican hospital can hold a real, current certificate that neither you nor this directory can confirm from outside. Every "JCI accredited" line found while compiling these listings traced back to a medical-tourism site or the hospital's own marketing, and two of them contradicted each other. Those are claims, and they are published here as claims, which is why most of these entries say that nothing has been confirmed.
The practical move: ask the hospital to show you the certificate itself, with its dates, and check the surgeon separately. The two are unrelated, and the surgeon is the one you can actually verify. How to check a doctor yourself.
